Rob Cockrum

     Rob is the "Old Man" of all the Hitting Zone instructors, having been working since the beginning, over 10 years ago.  Rob has been a successful coach/instructor on many levels and has worked with many players from their early ages through their college careers.  Rob is known as one of the best pitching coaches in the area.  College coaches often come to him to fnd out who the best pitchers are in the area.  Often found at high school and college games, Rob is continuously trying to learn more about the game.  Rob juggles his lesson time between his "real" job working at the hospital.  He is in high demand so you better sign up with him quick!

Jeremy Livengood

     Jeremy is a relative newcomer to the Zone, but he brings a long list of credentials.  Jeremy has coached at every level of baseball including college.  A former coach at App. St. and Southeastern Community College, Jeremy is also involved in coaching youth baseball.  Jeremy is a former catcher and has worked as a pitching coach and a hitting instructor.

Monica Munsey

          Monica is a fastpitch softball instructor as well as a physical fitness instructor.   Monica just joined the Zone's staff last spring and has been a real good addition.  Fastpitch softball is quickly growing in popularity and Monica is an excellent pitching, hitting and fielding instructor.  She can work with all ages and ability levels

     All of our instructors offer flexible scheduling and advanced booking to insure your spot.  Just contact the Zone with your instruction needs and you will be given a phone number to contact an instructor.  The rest is between you and your instructor.  You can also call the Zone, leave your number and an instructor wil contact you.

 Scott Humphrey

 Part Owner/Lead Instructor

     Coach Humphrey has been giving lessons at the Zone for nearly 6 years.  Two years ago, he became a partner in the business.  Coach Humphrey directs our travel ball Hurricanes program as well as our Warthog camps and various instructional clinics.

     Coach Humphrey was a head high school baseball coach for 11 years, during which time he served as State Games head coach and as an assistant for 7 years.  He was twice selected regional coach of the year and one time selected state coach of the year ('95).  As a youth coach, he has directed a 10U team to 8th place in the National tournament.  He has started and coached 3 other teams including our very own Hitting Zone Hurricanes.  Coach Humphrey has also served in various positions at SWFLL including coaching regular season and All Star teams.  He specializes in working with our younger players but has had several former instructees go on to success in the high school and collegiate levels.
